Laurel McConville of Nectar and Green

Today I am back with Courtney of Clandestine Kitchen for another episode from our Women in Food series and we are speaking with Laurel McConville of Nectar and Green. Laurel was born the same year her mother opened a tiny flower shop in Connecticut. Those early years surrounded by all things green and growing shaped her thinking about food and the way we eat. Over time, this thoughtfulness became an obsession for clean eating and living. Equal parts minimalist and perfectionist, Laurel launched Nectar & Green in 2015 with the belief that healthy living and simple living should be one and the same.

Laurel dives into when was Nectar & Green was founded and the pivotal moments that led her to create the brand. She talks about the Nectar and Green production process from sourcing ingredients to where it is made and how she has pivoted during the pandemic. Laurel talks about her favorite ways to enjoy Nectar & Green almond milks as well as some favorite recipes. She touches on her background prior to starting Nectar and Green and her experiences working small business and woman-owned businesses. Laurel discusses the Nectar and Green Wellness Pantry and upcoming plans. We discuss being an entrepreneur and the challenges and fun parts that she has experienced as well as what advice Laurel would give women looking to start their own businesses.
