Lily of Salterie One

In today’s episode we are speaking to Lily leedom, owner of Salterie One sea salts harvested fresh from Duxbury Bay. Salterie One began an idea conceived out of a desire to bring to life a meaningful business that inspires and delights in simple, natural, and healthful ways. Rooted in Duxbury, MA, their signature product — Classic Sea Salt — is hand-harvested by Lily and her team who live in our local community.

Lily talks about Salterie One - the product, the process, and how she got it all started from tinkering with pots of slowly evaporated salt water in her kitchen and ultimately finding the right formula that resulted in beautiful, pure sea salt that had the consistency and texture she was seeking. She talks about key experiences or moments that shaped this dream for her and talks about her experience prior to founding Salterie One. Lily dives into the salt making process and talks about her product offerings, seasonal blends and her favorites! We discuss entrepreneurship, what it means to be a women-owned company and why this is so important to Lily. We dive into pandemic pivots and future plans as well as how to book a tour of the Salterie One showroom located on Duxbury Bay.

When I set out to create and start The Collective Co. I was really hesitant to spend any money on the tools, knowledge or space I needed to focus and really get down to business. What I quickly realized was that investing in my connections and finding a productive space to do so was a game changer. Now that we’ve opened The CC, the number one praise we hear from new members is just how productive and motivated they are when they are in the space. Next is how important the connections and conversations are that happen when they’re here. So this is just your quick reminder that investing in a space outside of your home can offer a world of opportunities and growth — and you are SO worth that investment.
